Bill of Material

Real browser capture of the BOM export workflow

Overview

This tutorial shows the current Bill of Material workflow inside the editor. The screenshots were captured from the real app on March 6, 2026. In this specific run, confBuild detects 48 parts in the opened project.

Project

Editable Carport project with the assembly visible in the editor

Workflow

Open Tools, launch Bill of Material, configure selection and format

Result

Configurable export for clipboard or Excel output

Step 1: Open the BOM dialog from Tools

The part-list workflow starts from the Tools menu. From there you open the export dialog directly above the active 3D model.

The BOM export stays inside the normal editor workflow, so you do not need to leave the scene to prepare part lists or Excel exports.

Step 2: Review selection filters and preview

The first tab controls which parts are included at all. That includes visibility filters, price filters, group handling, and a preview of the resulting table content.

The part count is read live from the current model. In this run, the badge shows 48 detected parts before the actual export happens.

Step 3: Set the export format

On the Format tab, decide whether the output should use individual rows, merged rows, or a classic BOM summary. You also choose the columns that should appear in the export.

The dialog shows grouping mode and column selection side by side. Once both are correct, export the current list directly from the same window.
