Last updated: March 9, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to confbuild.com, app.confbuild.com, hosted configurators, embedded viewers, and related services provided by confBuild.

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using confBuild, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you use confBuild on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not use another person's account without permission.
3. Service scope and license
Subject to these terms, confBuild grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the platform to create, host, publish, embed, and manage 3D configurators and related digital assets. We may modify, improve, or discontinue features from time to time.
4. Your content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of the projects, models, prompts, files, and other content you submit to confBuild. You grant confBuild the rights needed to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content solely for operating, securing, and improving the service and for providing the features you request.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, licenses, and permissions required for the content you upload, generate, publish, or share.
5. AI-assisted features
confBuild may offer AI-assisted workflows for geometry generation, drafting, analysis, image handling, or other automation. AI-generated output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for manufacturing, safety-critical, legal, or regulated use without human review. You remain responsible for verifying prompts, inputs, outputs, engineering assumptions, and downstream use.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you may not:
- Use confBuild for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, defamatory, or abusive activity.
- Upload malware, harmful code, or content designed to disrupt the platform or third-party systems.
- Reverse engineer, probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass technical limits, quotas, or security controls.
- Use the platform to process or distribute content that you are not authorized to handle.
- Misrepresent the origin of generated content or impersonate confBuild, another user, or another organization.
7. Public sharing and embeds
If you publish, share, or embed a configurator, you are responsible for the content, permissions, notices, and end-user disclosures associated with that experience. Public or embedded configurators may be accessible to anyone you make them available to, and third-party sites where you embed the player may apply their own terms and privacy rules.
8. Paid services and commercial terms
If you purchase a paid plan, implementation package, or other commercial service, the applicable pricing, scope, usage limits, renewal terms, and invoicing conditions are the ones shown at checkout, in the product, or in the relevant quote or order form. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once the agreed service has been delivered.
9. Availability, maintenance, and changes
We work to keep confBuild available and reliable, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, change integrations, or interrupt parts of the service without prior notice when reasonably necessary. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical content and exports.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using confBuild at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay amounts due, or misuse the platform. After termination, we may disable access to hosted content and remove data according to our retention practices and legal obligations.
11. Warranties, liability, and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, confBuild disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic damages arising from your use of the service. Mandatory statutory liability, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, remains unaffected.
You agree to indemnify and hold confBuild harmless from third-party claims arising out of your content, your public or embedded deployments, or your violation of these terms.
12. Governing law, updates, and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise. We may update these terms from time to time by publishing a revised version on this page. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply. For questions about these terms, contact daniel@confbuild.com.
